FF SNAG repression domain, transcriptional repressor [2];
FF gfi1b may also regulate Gfi1 G009648 through the same sequences used by Gfi1 T06593 [2];
FF gfi1b is an additive, distance-independent, active transcriptional repressor which functions by binding to the same DNA sequences as Gfi1 T01921 [5];
FF the gfi1b repressor is involved in regulating the process of hematopoietic cell differentiation and in lymphoid cell oncogenesis [5];
FF the differentiation controlling function and perhaps the oncogenic function may depend at least partially on the ability of the protein to repress the expression of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21waf1 G005919 [5];
FF role in stem cell differentiation and erythropoiesis [3];
FF overexpressing gfi1b repressed Socs1 R17076R17077 and Socs3 R17080 but apparently not Socs2 G006744 promoter activity, which showed no effect [6];
